In episode 206 Lisa talks about a common pattern she sees many of her clients getting into. Go, go, go, collapse and repeat. With the holiday season just around the corner now is the time to take inventory of all the things you think you should be doing and deciding what you might want to let go of. In this episode, Lisa talks about what drives this pattern of overworking and being busy and why it's so hard for women to break free from it. If you're ready to live a life that doesn't feel like a game of go, go, stop, book your coaching session and get started doing the work that will dramatically change how you show up for yourself.

Does Lisa Intimidate You?

Monday Nov 28, 2022

Monday Nov 28, 2022

Episode 205 is a SPICY one.
Today, Lisa addresses the elephant in the room. Are you one of the many women who find her intimidating? Have you ever considered why that is and what the definition of intimidating is?
In this episode, she dives into what it means to be intimidating vs confident and empowered. Is it that Lisa is intimidating, or is it that being in the proximity of a confident, empowered woman is unfamiliar to you? Women often start defining other women based on experiences we've had in the past, without ever circling back around to see if the definition is still applicable. In a world where many women are caught in people pleasing, going along to get along, lacking boundaries, seeking the approval of others and looking for their worthiness in everything BUT themselves, a confident, self-assured woman showing up in her personal power can seem like a bit of a unicorn. They are often seen as intimidating or "bitchy" but have you considered what a confident woman is showing you?
When was the last time you redefined what a confident and empowered woman is OR are you basing it on an outdated interaction you had in high school??
Even talking about being confident can trigger other women because we're taught to not stand out or make anyone feel bad, so instead we continue to shrink and not live into our full potential.
Today's episode is meant to be disruptive and shake up the way you view other women, but more importantly, how you view yourself.
If you've been intimidated by Lisa but have listened to this episode and are starting to realize that she embodies what you want for yourself, before you do anything else, book a call. It will take courage and confidence, but that's why you're here, is it not?

Episode 204 dives into one of Lisa's favorite topics. Responsibility.
In today's episode, you'll discover how to be more responsible for you while letting go of being "too" responsible for others. There is a line between caring vs care taking, and many women cross it with the story of needing to be responsible. Have you ever asked yourself what makes you believe you need to be responsible for others, and what you gain from being so responsible for others? Consider for a moment how you define yourself and if you weren't being over responsible how you would feel important? What would make you matter? How would you feel important?
Many women claim to want less responsibility, but also fight to keep as many balls in the air as possible. Why do you think that is? Today's episode will bring clarity to that, along with exploring how to redefine personal responsibility.
If you're someone who feels responsible for so much but at the same time doesn't like to ask for help or support and struggles with receiving, this episode will be an eye-opener for you.

Episode 203 takes a look at how we define a healthy relationship with the gym. You might not realize that not all "healthy" people are healthy. Although the outside package might look the part of being healthy, it's how you define health on the inside that matters more.
For many gym goers, it's a place they go to feel good, manage stress and anxiety and get a great sweat on. Often those who are religious about their training, it becomes a part of their identity and starts to define how they think and feel about themselves. The problem becomes that often this healthy way of being can take a turn to the excessive that includes no days off and the world falling apart if they become sick or injured. They feel better when they're exercising regularly, but don't know how to feel good if they can't exercise. Not to mention, taking a day off of exercise creates anxiety and stress.
Exercise is meant to release feel good endorphins, however do you know how to feel good if you can't exercise for whatever reason?
In today's episode, Lisa shares about her recent injury and how she's navigating her time off today vs how she would have reacted to being off in the past.
Here are a few things to be on the lookout for to determine if you're addicted to exercise in an unhealthy way
1. You aren't recovering well
2. Your resting heart rate becomes elevated
3. You get sick more often
4. You're always tired and don't sleep well
5. You're having mood swings and often find yourself depressed outside the gym
6. You feel like you can't take a break
7. You don't know how to cope with life without your daily exercise
8. Your strength is decreasing
9. You're getting injured or experience over use aches and pains
10. You obsess about getting your workout in at the expense of everything else in your life.

In episode 202 Lisa recaps her recent trip to Sedona to celebrate her 50th birthday and lessons she wants to pass along to you about when it's time to shake things up.
If you're set in your schedule and live by the phrase "it is what it is" then you're going to want to listen. Lisa breaks down how having her entire schedule flipped upside down challenged her perspective on letting go and adapting, while also providing an opportunity to see her world differently.
She also dives into how to discover possibility where maybe you don't see any, and that anything can be figured out if you're willing and open to seeing a different path. Being committed means also reflecting on your commitments and making adjustments instead of being stuck in your own status quo.
Lisa also discusses how often driven, ambitious, A-types often forget the importance of lightening up, having more fun and creating time and space for things that are for pure joy and pleasure.
All this along with exploring the deeper meaning of loving what you do, but loving yourself more.

Episode 197 is a very personal share about how Lisa found herself back in her old patterns of behavior and the emotional suffering she endured at her own hand. You may not realize it yet, but most of the things you find yourself struggling with and suffering through are because of where you're choosing to hold your attention. Have you ever noticed how much you focus on what's not working vs what is? Or how much you hold your attention on what you don't have vs what you DO have?
Most of the problems you face in life are only problems because of the stories you've told yourself about the problem. Take a listen to today's episode to come to an understanding of what this means and how quickly you can shift out of the struggle by asking yourself so KEY questions.
How much are you contributing to making the problem BIGGER by holding your attention on what you can't control instead of being responsible for what you can.
After listening to this episode, ask yourself what you GAIN from being stuck and struggling? The answer might not just surprise you, but also set you free.
